Melissa is a consultant general gynaecologist, with an interest in fertility.

After graduating from Flinders University in 1996 she moved to Melbourne to pursue her training in obstetrics and gynaecology. During this time, she worked at the Mercy Hospital for Women, The Royal Women’s Hospital, and the Royal Children’s Hospital, and completed a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic gynaecology. Seeing many of her gynaecology patients experience subfertility, Melissa sought additional training in the management of fertility; this allowed her to provide patients with continuity along their fertility journey.

Melissa has been in private practice for 15 years and enjoys working collaboratively with patients to  decide together on their best fertility treatment options.

Her clinical interests include:

• Family creation using donor sperm, eggs, or surrogacy
• Infertility due to gynaecological conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, or PCOS
• Fertility education and options for future fertility
• Fertility considerations for people with trans or non-binary gender identities

Melissa is excited to work in collaboration with the other practitioners at the Maven Centre to provide a holistic approach to fertility.

Please note: Dr Cameron does not perform any fertility treatments at Maven Centre. However, in order to provide you with holistic care, Dr Cameron would love to discuss with you (and your partner, if appropriate) how she can help you on your fertility journey.
