Our team includes gynaecologists, a specialist pain physician, Specialist women’s health GPs, and allied health including dietetics and pelvic physiotherapy. Our clinicians are highly skilled, and have a collaborative team approach, providing care to women and people seeking gynaecological services. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Some common women’s health issues that we often see include:

  • Menstrual disorders, including: irregular, heavy, and / or painful periods, and premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
  • Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), which is a hormonal disorder that can result in irregular periods, acne, weight gain, and infertility.
  • Reproductive health issues such as infertility
  • Causes of painful periods, such as endometriosis and adenomyosis
  • Causes of heavy periods, such as fibroids and adenomyosis

  • Our team of all female clinicians see women of all ages, from teenage girls to women in their reproductive years and beyond menopause. In addition, we are a safe space for LGBTQI and trans people seeking gynaecological care.

    You should bring your medicare care, and your private insurance details (if you are insured). You will need a GP referral letter to see one of our specialists and you can email this to us prior to your appointment, or bring it on the day of your appointment. You do not need a GP referral letter to see one of our specialist women’s health GPs.

    Please also bring copies of any relevant tests, and ultrasound reports, or details of where you had these done so that we can gather this information prior to your appointment.

    At Maven Centre, you can trust that you will be in expert hands, no matter which clinician you choose to see. The unique advantage of the Maven Centre arrangement, is having all relevant clinicians in the one place, who know each other, and can discuss challenging patients together, all while maintaining your care at the centre. If your clinician deems it appropriate they may request that you also see one of the other clinicians in the practice to provide you with more holistic care.
