Bleeding after sex (or 'post-coital bleeding') can occur for many reasons, most of which are completely innocent. But it can be a sign of an underlying infection or suspicious process. So if it occurs more than once, is heavy, or you have additional symptoms, it's worth getting checked out.

Hysterectomy involves surgically removing the uterus (or womb). If your gynaecologist has suggested a hysterectomy as an option for you, it’s important to understand exactly which body parts will be removed, and how your surgeon will approach the operation. While a major operation, having a hysterectomy may give you a much-needed new lease of life!
