A medical termination of pregnancy is a safe and effective method to end a pregnancy in its early stages using medication. Generally recommended for pregnancies within the first 9 weeks, it is a non-surgical option for women who choose to end a pregnancy and can be conducted under the supervision of a healthcare professional. The decision to undergo a medical termination is deeply personal and our female GPs are here to offer support, information and appropriate medical care throughout the process.

Feel free to call 9958 5636 or email reception@mavencentre.com.au to request an appointment with a women’s health GP to discuss having a medical termination.

Sexual health encompasses sexual activity, relationships, reproductive health, sexual pleasure, and is an integral part of overall well-being and quality of life.

We offer comprehensive services including testing, counselling, and treatment to address any sexual health concerns you may have.

Intrauterine devices are a highly effective and long-lasting form of contraception, which will provide you with peace of mind and convenience if you’re sexually active but not wanting to conceive at the moment.

Read this blog for a discussion about the pros and cons of having a Mirena IUD.

We offer safe, professional and comfortable insertion of IUDs as well as information on this contraceptive method.

We have various options available for pain relief during your IUD insertion, should you need them. This includes the use of a penthrox ‘green whistle’.

Family planning plays a crucial role in women’s health and overall wellbeing. It enables women to plan and prepare for pregnancy, ensuring that they are physically, emotionally and financially able to provide. Additionally, spacing pregnancies has been shown to improve maternal and child health outcomes. Our doctors are able to offer guidance and support to help you navigate your reproductive journey with confidence.

Our female healthcare providers are experienced in examining the vulva for visible signs or symptoms of dermatological conditions such as rashes, itching, lesions, discoloration, or abnormal growths. A biopsy may be recommended if there is a concerning lesion or area. Our GPs are able to tailor treatment plans specifically for individual patients and address unique needs and concerns. Our team is able to diagnose and manage various vulval conditions, including dermatitis, infections, precancerous lesions, and other skin disorders.
